Our Walls in Our House

Our Walls are based on the strength of our core squads.  They carry the weight of our structure and provide for a place where Suites of rooms can exist for local volunteers within a state or district can share resources more directly but still have the support of our "load-bearing" walls to allow them to find the message that works for their districts and precincts.  All squad members have access to their state's suite as well as their district's common room and their own "room" and Diary Blog where volunteers can be free to express their own beliefs and opinions. Inside the Walls are restricted to control panel users only so only volunteers have access to these parts of the website.

Our House Wall Code of Conduct: Outlines rules and expected behavior for volunteers when acting independently as citizens and representative of the caucus.

Our House Staff Support Beam:  Our House Holders and Operations staff updates.  This is different from our other walls as this "beam" supports the entire building to keep it from collapsing in on itself.  We primarily work with the Funding Squad and assist the other squads as required with event promotion and cost management.  Our primary focus is creating and supporting the data and interactive links within the website for continuity, voter engagement and performance.  We work to keep the platform independent of partisan or financial influence from the decisions of the caucus.

Our House Funding Wall: Our House Funding Squad will post and take requests for funding needs from our field campaigns.  They will also focus on managing the varied supply distribution and "democracy stock" currency management.  They will manage the "store" (Coming soon) as well as support local fund raising by seeding with OHIC materials.  They will assist House Holders in ensuring all required documentation is received for all donations.

Our House Event Wall: Our House Event Squad will post updates and best practices from previous events, post announcements of new event agendas for independent House Hosts (volunteers that promote the caucus but do not wish to formally commit to a team as a full volunteer).  They will be managing the debate question and moderator prep.

Our House Research Wall: Our House Research Squad will be tracking which portions of the site need completion or updating as well as assisting local campaign teams complete their local representative structures and identifying source website for them to begin researching.

Our House Election Wall: Our House Election Squad will be focused on GOTV efforts and voter registration.  They will post updates to voter registrations to our goals and potential opportunities based on information from the research team as well as verification of election laws for public posting.

Our House Campaign Wall: Our House Campaign Squad will be focused on canvassing neighborhoods and hosting house parties at a local level aimed at creating a local team of volunteers that can message voters with a small flyer.  They also work with the Election, Event and A/V Squads.

Our House Social Media Wall: Our House Social Media Squad will show their moxy as they share comments and suggest responses and other ways to drive conversations and awareness of OHIC and voting.

Our House A/V Wall: Our House A/V Squad are our eyes and ears, or rather what our guests and soon-to-be volunteers will first see!  Message board signs, Meme's, existing educational videos.  Editing and clipping public new and opinion media to help inspire conversations and motivate citizens into the voting booth.
